The Friendly Family Club on the Parramatta River

discover sailing

You can experience the exhilaration of sailing by hitching a free ride with one of our members on a Saturday morning or at our annual Discover Sailing Day on Sunday 28th October.

If you can't wait until the last weekend in October, and why should you, let us know when you would like to come down by completing the booking form. We will respond with a confirmation of your booking or, if we cannot cater for your preferred date, we'll provide you with an alternative.

Regrettably, we cannot provide you with a sailing experience on a Saturday morning unless you book. You do not need to book to enjoy a sailing experience on Discover Sailing Day.

what you need to bring with you

The Club supplies training boats and Personal Flotation Devices (PFDs).  Everybody needs to protect themselves with sun cream and a hat, top, shorts plus old sandshoes/sneakers.  Bring a towel and change of clothes, you might get wet.

For safety reasons, footwear is compulsory around the Club, rigging area and whilst sailing.

After your sail you can enjoy a salad roll, pie, or sausage roll along with a hot or cold drink at our canteen.

Location

Bennelong Park
Corner of Yallara Road & Waterview Street
Putney NSW
