Cancer touches all of us. Every one of us knows a friend, a family member, a colleague - or has personally faced the challenge. Sail for Cancer Day is our chance to turn a day we love on the water into something that truly makes a difference.
CRSC has proudly supported this appeal for many seasons, and once again we’re asking our members to help us continue that tradition by supporting the Cure Cancer Australia Foundation, which funds vital research to save lives.
How you can help
Make your donation on race day
- Adult sailors are asked to donate $15 on race day.
- A clearly marked cash container will be located on the table next to the sign-on sheets, or via card at the canteen.
Seek sponsorship (optional, but encouraged!)
- You can also raise extra support by asking your workmates, friends, and family to sponsor you for the race.
- Simply print the attached notice, complete the sponsorship section, and feel free to copy it if you need more than one form.
- Your workplace may even wish to support you with a tax-deductible donation.
Return your sponsorship form
- Clearly write your name on the form.
- Place completed forms and any cash donations into the container near sign-on, or
- Hand them in at the canteen before or after racing on Saturday.
Tax receipts
- All donations of $2 or more are tax deductible.
- The Cure Cancer Australia Foundation will issue receipts, and these will be distributed to you.
Together, we can turn a great day of sailing into meaningful support for cancer research and those it affects.
